Things To Do
Point Arena Lighthouse
Climb to the top of one of the tallest Pacific Coast Lighthouses as Keepers have done for over 100 years!
The Point Arena Lighthouse is located less than 5 miles from B Bryan Preserve. This is a great place for whale watching during the season. Also, hundreds of sea lions and seals bask in the sun there daily. Set in one of the most spectacular yet peaceful surroundings on the northern California coast, the Point Arena tower is the only Pacific West coast lighthouse of significant height (115 feet) that you can climb to the top!
Guided tours of the light station as well as self-guided tours of the grounds are available daily. There is a great gift shop as well. The Lighthouse recently received a grant for renovations, so look for exciting changes coming soon.
Arena Theater
Located in the heart of downtown Point Arena.
The Arena Theater is a 1928-vintage vaudeville theater and film palace, restored in 1996 to an Art Deco style, state-of-the-art entertainment venue.
Arena Theater brings live performances and artists to the stage of this Mendocino Coast venue and operates every day of the year showing first run movies.
