Cape Buffalo
Because of their power and disposition, African buffalo are considered the most dangerous game species in Africa and are nicknamed the “black death.”
Appearance: Both males and females have large curved horns. The males’ meet in the middle of their head forming a “boss”
Size: about 5 ft tall at the shoulder
Weight: up to 2,000 pounds
Conservation Status: Least Concern but declining
