Local Critters

The African hoofstock here call B. Bryan Preserve home, but so do an array of amazing native North American species.

The preserve spans 110 acres of coastal Northern California habitat. The property has open grasslands, small forests, and several areas of protected wetlands, all of which provides valuable habitat so our native wildlife can flourish. While staying in one of the cottages or while you’re out on tour, keep an eye out for some of these bonus animals! All species listed below are seen on property by staff.
