Size: ~ 4 to 5.5 feet tall at the shoulder and average around 600 pounds, making them the smallest of all wild equids.
Features: While their coats are soft gray with white bellies, their most distinctive feature is the series of horizontal black-and-white stripes on their lower legs. They also sport a stiff, black-tipped mane and a tufted tail
Conservation Status: Critically Endangered and declining.
Range: They are found exclusively in arid regions of Somalia, Eritrea, and Ethiopia
